Scott Maughan is first and foremost a music fan. Beyond that, he is a very experienced music business accountant and an extremely talented video director.
Scott worked in several Chartered Accounting firms in Brisbane before leaving to pursue a career in the music industry. After a few twists and turns he was hired at Secret Service Artist Management & Dew Process Recordings and worked for the next six years as the in-house accountant. Working under the Business Manager, Scott was responsible for all of the debtors and creditors management, book keeping, preparation of the Income Tax Returns, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and various other business and regulatory related functions for Powderfinger, The Grates and Yves Klein Blue as well as Dew Process Recordings whose acts included the likes of Sarah Blasko, Bernard Fanning, The Living End, The Grates, Whitley, The Panics and Yves Klein Blue. During his time at Secret Service, he also worked as the book keeper on the Powderfinger / Silverchair “Across the Great Divide” Tour.
Scott worked as a freelance music accountant for a number of years and has now launched LineCheck Accounting.
