Rob Potts from Entertainment Edge is a legend in the country music world and is one of Australia’s leading concert promoters, with a career spanning more than thirty years in the music industry. He died tragically in a motorcycle accident on the West Coast of Tasmania in 2017. As a booking agent, he discovered and worked with a new wave of country artists in the 90s including Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan, James Blundell and Troy Cassar-Daley.
His company Rob Potts Entertainment Edge has been at the forefront of the recent surge of US Country superstars in the Australian market, having toured Keith Urban, Alan Jackson, Taylor Swift, Zac Brown Band, Brooks & Dunn, Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Dolly Parton and many others. With Chugg Entertainment, Potts established the CMC Rocks festival brand with the CMC Rocks The Snowys, CMC Rocks The Hunter and now CMC Rocks QLD festivals, which in 2016 became Australia's first sold out country music festival in history.
Potts was director of the US Country Music Association (CMA) Board, where he served for over twelve years. He was also chair of the CMA International Committee and the Australian CMA Advisory Group.
