Maria Amato is the General Manager of the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR). She brings to the role 25 years experience in the not-for-profit, music and entertainment sectors specialising in finance and business management. Previously, Maria held the role of CEO/CFO at the Melbourne International Film Festival (2010-2014). Alongside this, work included being a Board member of Music Victoria (2012-2014).

In addition to her role as GM at AIR, Amato will continue as AIR CFO. This happens whilst assisting the AIR board with strategic planning, the annual Awards and their commercial and sponsorship relations.

She will also remain the director of accounting and management consultancy company Results Management. For 22 years, she has helped improve productivity for her clients in the arts, entertainment, retail and service sector.
