Artist Management Business

What Does a Manager Do?

A manager is responsible for growing your own business first and foremost. However, developing your artists' business and career development is the actual business you are in. This can involve managing the bookings, scheduling, publicity opportunities, sync deals, recording contracts, fan base and finances of your client, as well as always working to grow your artists' profiles and negotiate them the best terms possible. Most successful managers have a genuine passion for music and are their artists' number one cheerleaders. There's a great deal of communication and organization involved in this career pathway.
