Robert Horsfall is a music business lawyer from London, working for Sound Advice. He has worked in the music industry for 35 years and, for the last 15 years or so, and has focused specifically on the representation of artists and managers.
Apart from British artists, Robert works with overseas artists who are targeting the UK and European markets. He has worked with a variety of acts from Australia (including Sarah Blasko, Dan Sultan, Gurrumul and Guy Sebastian).
It’s a conscious policy of Sound Advice to work across all the different genres of music other than pop/R&B and dance/rock. So, folk, Americana, country, classical, world, spoken word and jazz acts all fall within Robert’s client roster.
Robert has written extensively on legal issues within the music business, including books for IAEL.
