The Music Network is inviting you to the first annual TMN Tinnies, celebrating the crushing success of those behind the scenes of Australia’s recorded music industry.
“Who doesn’t want to see a tipsy artist manager deliver an unscripted and untelevised acceptance speech? We think it’s about time that happens. But really, it’s high time those who are in the trenches get an opportunity to take a bow for their contribution to Australian music,” said TMN publisher and editor, Jake Challenor.
The TMN Tinnies – scheduled for Friday, December 8 at a secret (but central) location in Sydney – is an opportunity to crack open a beverage and shine a spotlight on another remarkable year in music.
There are eight award categories in year one; Manager of the year, Label A&R of the year, Publishing A&R of the year, Indie label of the year, Music start-up of the year, Producer of the year, Songwriter of the year and A&R Artist Development of the year.
There will also be an award to recognise the most significant contribution to Australian music by commercial radio.
