Nicola Pitt works at CAAMA Music, Australia’s oldest Aboriginal record label and her pathway into that role is as diverse as any that I’ve come across! She studied a Communications degree at Newcastle University, then worked for 6 years in Sydney in the book publishing industry as a publicist. She then went travelling, lived in Mexico, learned Spanish, returned to Australia and before the dust had really settled on that adjustment found herself living in the red dust of the Central Australian desert, working at CAAMA!
You can actually take a look at the work Nicola does at CAAMA over at her “A Week In The Life Of…” feature. It’s a really interesting read about working in the NT music scene.
You can take a look at her video interviews over at the Organisations You Need To Know About course.
